Store complaint
When I approached the deli counter at your store on Sierra Lakes parkway in Fontana today Monday 9/23/24 to purchase fried chicken breasts I first encountered an elderly man who seemed either confused or annoyed that I asked him for fried chicken breast, his response was he had baked and if I wanted fried I would have to wait. When I asked how long he moved along and ignored me.at that time an elderly woman brought rotisserie chickens from the back and said if I wanted fried I would have to wait for her to go on break for 20 minutes and when she got back would be another 30 minutes to cook it.
When I asked to speak to a manger I was ignored for approximately 10 minutes and finally went and found her myself. I have been coming to this store for over 9 years and I the last few a month their is never fried chicken breast ready, these same 2 employees have no regard for the customer but they love quoting they have to take their union breaks.
I am part of the customer base that keeps you in business and this is unacceptable at any time. I probably will never return to this location again and definitely will not recommend to anyone else.
User's recommendation: None go somewhere else

Verified Buyer | Burbank, CaliforniaRalph store selling old foods and rotten. And cashier's check so rudeness and no respect. I return the mangoes black inside, but yellow outside. And yucca no good black inside.
Cashier's needs More disciplines, I don't need any *** from them. Especially I am a top shopper.
I try not to shop at Ralph's store. You buy mangos yellow outside and block inside. Yuca are rotten is the same you look at outside good.
Good expired, maybe you need to check the products. And customers service it's bad...

Verified ReviewerSomeone stole EBT benefits
Good afternoon, my name is Danisshea Blackston. They took $301 from a grocery store purchase of CalFresh at Ralphs, store number 5185.
I have six kids that I have to feed. Right now, we have nothing. I don't know if this can help, or what help just please have someone reach out to me, phone number is 951-423-****. I know there's nothing you guys can do about it, but I don't know where else to look or where else to go.
This person stole from Walmart, Vons, and Ross.
Ross store number is 5185. I feel like if a person has an EBT card, you guys should start asking for a photo ID.

Verified ReviewerRalph's Sucks So Bad I Gave Up Being A Customer
1. Fake prices that are jacked-up 50% and then put on "sale" for 20% less.
What a joke! Also look at how there is so much "shrink-flation" there so now my 64 oz. orange juice is only 52 ounces. Yes, the manufacturer does this, but Ralph's has the discretion to roll back the prices to the price per oz.
it used to be and doesn't
2. Ralph's puts profits above its own customers, remember that. It's all about them, not you.
3. Some products are put way atop the top shelf, a physical hazard to reach and the manufacturers probably paid to have their products put in an accessible area.
Ralph's will screw its own customers and suppliers, too.
4.Lazy workers take the path of least resistance, not be where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there, such as at the deli, meat and fish counters. Many times I have had to wait so long I just left and bought the merchandise elsewhere. How about a bell at the counter? A ticket number dispenser to show who's next?
(problems with that, too).
5. management lies. Wass told I would be called back about my legitimate complaints, and was not after an initial conversation in which the rep[ seemed to agree with me. Very rude and disrespectful to say they will call back in 2 weeks and not do so in more than 2 months, and ignore my calls to follow-up.
Very arrogant, too, showing what a ridiculous company this is. Total embarrassment to the Kroger brand (parent company) or maybe they are just as bad.
6. Security cameras everywhere as if you are guilty until proven innocent. Should have console where they can see what is happening and hide the cameras out of respect to the customers.
The smart companies do this, like their nearby competitor Grocery Outlet.
7. Bugs in the store., Seems when I returned there was bugs in the bags. Par for the course in their stores. Makes me want to "ralph" when I see them.
8.
Corporate management seems willing to help, but also does nothing so I am no longer a fan.
9. Some nasty employees. Don't take any crap from them. Many are just plain stupid.
10.
Overall, avoid Ralph's. Many better choices. I gave them a chance and Ralph's failed. Albertson's, Vons, even Walmart are much better.
Ralph's only cares about your money, not you. And their policies suck. Bad company, go somewhere else and be happier. Their ads are a disgrace too.
Who did them, very unprofessional just like the company so I'm not surprised. "Fresh for everyone." Not really, lots of stale products there sold near or at their expiration dates which always check at Ralph's.
I encountered several products sold there that were expired and even contacted the manufacturer because Ralph's still was selling them! Where's the Health Department to check on Ralph's?
- Poorly managed and their ads are poorly done
- Fake sale prices that are jacked-up way above normal pricing
- Sells expired products that could be a hazard
Preferred solution: Warn customers that this company sells expired product, has fake "sale" prices and is totally unprofessional.

Verified Reviewer | Gardena, CaliforniaCustomer Experience
I'm writing to report an extremely horrible shopping experience I encountered at Ralph's, 2201 Redondo Beach Blvd, Gardena, CA, on 08/14/24 at 11:15 am. The incident involved the store team lead, Paulo, who was extremely unprofessional and very dismissive when I approached him about making a purchase.
He completely ignored my question and walked off. When I asked to speak with the person in charge, he approached me again, very argumentative and unprofessional, to demonstrate just how disrespectful he could be without any repercussions.
Paulo seems to have an issue dealing with black customers. He is a horrible reflection on Ralph's grocery store and should not be allowed to work with the public of any kind given his racist demeanor.

Verified ReviewerWould Give Ralphs Negative Stars If Possible
Had an in-store conflict that should have been resolved by the manager, but she was biased and did nothing. Contacted the corporate office, which apologized and stated they would compensate me on my Ralphs card so I wouldn't leave the company.
Trusted them, but no compensation on the card. I'm done with this unprofessional, biased, untrustworthy place with fake 'sale' signs (after the prices are jacked up to ridiculous levels). Very amateurish.
There are plenty of better choices for grocery shopping. Good riddance, Ralphs!

Verified Reviewer | Stevenson Ranch, CaliforniaCustomer service is a joke
I've tried making a complaint multiple times about two employees who were all over each other at closing time. The guy closed the doors manually behind me.
I had left my keys inside and had to keep knocking and banging on the door. I had to pull the doors open because I had no idea when they were actually going to leave. I received no apologies from either one. I tried making a complaint to customer service, who asked me to describe them.
As soon as I described their ethnicity, all communication stopped.
Nobody would respond anymore. They were the ones who wanted a description!

HORRIBLE, INAPPROPRIATE HARRASSMENT
Harassment and Inappropriate touching by a drunk security guard(older, glasses)extremely aggressive and drunk at Venice Blvd/La Brea location. Was shopping with other customers and this drunk security guard start touching me with the alleged reason that it was 15min before closing (on Sat night).
I mentioned I still had 15min to finish my shopping and he screamed erratically and with alcohol smelling breath that he wants to go home then touched my backside and turned my arm aggressively when I told him to stop harassing me and letting me finish my shopping. Instead he became continuously belligerent and unhinged. Ill report him to higher levels as well and file a lot suit for his highly aggressive, unacceptable, repulsive behavior. The store manager also needs to be investigated for constantly closing the store 30min earlier than store hours.
Extremely shady, suspect and outright unacceptable illegal business practices in this particular Ralphs location that Ive never experienced in my entire life and that need to be further investigated and met with adequate sanctions for employee who abused his job position and violated customers and the law. Immediate actions must follow and Ill also report this to higher levels.
User's recommendation: Report the aggressive, unhinged store employee immediately to the police and also sue for employee violating the law and being physically aggressive. I have pictures of person etc

Verified Reviewer | Goleta, CaliforniaAsk about the rib-eye digital coupon
My laptop computer on the digital coupon section did not show the ribeye steak coupon to clip. So, I called your customer connect number.
The young lady ( could not find the digital coupon as well) told me to take a Snap shot of receipt a. Call customer connect again.
Then, store credit would be issued. I responded that I will shop at Vons, and the customer should not have go through the trouble.
User's recommendation: Don’t call customer connect with Kroger because they lack customer service.
Went to the One location to the deli said they no longer made sandwiches
I went to one location in line for over 15 minutes only to be told that they no longer made sandwiches that I can purchase premade sandwich that was not the purpose of my visit to that location to a second location, which is the one I usually go to and they make sandwiches. You should have a uniform policy on delis whether theyre gonna make sandwiches or not but my issue was resolved.
Im very happy from the customer service department that took my complaint seriously I will no longer visit that first location any longer and continue to go to the store. I normally go to.
Ralphs employes Bullies (and maybe ex-felons) as Security Guards who assault and demean Senior White People for no apparent reason.
I was manhandled by a 20 year-old Security Guard at Ralphs; the manager did nothing; she just added fuel to the fire. (Her name is Maria Reyes and she is the Store Manager for Ralphs at 4760 W.
Pico Blvd. te in Los Angeles. The Security Guard battered me when he threw me to the ground and nearly broke my back. (I have ER report and evidence of tissue damage).
He pointed his gun at me -- and accused me of shoplifting. (What a great way to treat a 30-year customer, right?) Also, he thinks he is vindicated because he's a "security guard." Kroger opened a Case File for me back in March 30, 2024, the date of the incident. And NOTHING, NOTHING has been done about my Claim (despite 15 Vms from me and more than 10 E-mails!
Kroger is viewing my INCIDENT as a JOKE! What a horrible company!
User's recommendation: DON't GO THERE!

Verified Reviewer | West Hollywood, CaliforniaDeli food
Many of us rely on the LaBrea Ralphs for groceries as well as prepared deli food (regular deli not kosher deli) for daily office meals. Overall the store meets everyone's needs, staff throughout are efficient and courteous, inventory is well stocked.
Most of us born and raised in this neighborhood have supported the LaBrea Ralphs for decades, but over the past year we all noticed a strange inconsistency with the tuna, chicken and egg salads - items we buy almost daily for office meals at our companies. Half the time they are the best in town, the other half the time they are the worst in town. Obviously, two different deli staffers are using two different recipes, because half the time these prepared salads and sandwiches are heavily saturated in SO MUCH MAYONNAISE there is literally more mayo than food. The bread and croissants are so wet with mayo they fall apart when you pick them up.
When asked why, a deli staffer said, "that's the way customers like it." Really? I did not know selected customers can dictate changes in Ralph's standardized recipes. Or is Ralphs mandating overloaded mayo in place of real food to save costs? This isn't a rarity, it's the norm.
We are asking if Ralphs would please revert to its lighter touch of mayo on these prepared deli items so that we can continue to shop at the store closest to all our office buildings. Thank you.
Lousy customer service
I received my ralphs coupons in the mail. I had a free item which apparently you do not carry at this store on Colima and whittier blvd.
This is the third time I have asked for this item before it expires and all they say is you need to come back when there's a manager here. Then they get on the phone to let the manager know to expect me. They employees really hate their job here.
They are always in a terrible mood. I think I will do my shopping elsewhere and also encourage my family and neighbors to do so also.
User's recommendation: Shop elsewhere

I've gotten harrassed solo badly regarding this stupid issue and its such ***
I believed you until you said sue. You are lying to get a payout.
