I have been a loyal customer of Ralphs for many years, and now go to the one in Granada Hills. Be very careful!!! They try and trick you on the pricing of most everything, but this one was the worse. I took pictures and showed two managers, and a third one last nite. But what they did was place a larger price placket hanging in front of the Simple Truth Organic Chicken, that read "$3.99 and for the Thighs $4.99 and one other was $6.99 which led you to think per package, but nooooo, this is per POUND but nowhere does it say per pound, which is a lie. Going to check tonite if fixed if not, never shopping at Ralphs, and might check other store, if they are doing it too. Very disappointed!

Inappropriate attitude from the manager and the worker

My name is linawati kartono, I came to buy something at ralph at 333 N Atlantic blvd, monterey park, ca-91754. It was today, jan 28, 2014 at 10:43pm. Here the entry ID : 703-46*-230-*15-8*-312. I did self check out with my boyfriend, then my bf and I hv a question on what we really want to know. I actually want to buy mac&cheese and it was on sale, if I buy 6, I'll pay $3, but in the monitor didn't show those. That was actually my question till I called the lady in charged there, but all of the sudden she yelled and screamed at me and my bf. She kept saying that I bought those item 8pcs instead of 6pcs. I tried nicely to explain, but again she yelled at me, cut off in the middle of my explanation, then come along the manager, without saying anything, then he came and seems he is on the lady in charged site instead of he is in the middle and see what's happening between us. Finally, I decide to cancelled those order, and I got out with very upsets. I really want ralph corporate call me and I want to know what is your action for this!!! I am very serious with it!! perhaps you should try complaining to corporate and NOT a complaints website, the likelihood of ANYONE from the company who can do anything reading it on here are slim to none.

you should also learn to type/speak a little more clearly. it's hard to understand what your "question" was. you say you wanted to buy 6 of the mac & cheese for $3 but it didn't show them on the monitor?

I've been to tons of stores and I've never seen ANYONE just start yelling at a customer for asking a question. perhaps they reacted on HOW you asked it? body language + posture = goes a long way.

also you know what forget it lol I can't follow the 2nd 1/2 of your complaint it's too much *** grammar.

Don't close Ralphs in Sylmar CA

Please don't close Ralphs in Sylmar CA and replace with a Food For Less store. Ralphs is the only descent grocery store we have and I do not like Food For Less and will never shop there. Ralphs is conveniently close to my home and now I will have to leave the city to shop at another store, i.e., Trader Joes (close to my office). Please reconsider shutting down Ralphs. I and many in the community are loyal shoppers at this store and we would be so happy to be able to continue shopping at our neighborhood Ralphs Store. Please reconsider your decision to close.

Like Penny's in San Fernando, Big Corps just dont see it profitable enough to

invest in lower middleclass neighborhoods. You will never see a Trader Joes or "Full-size" Smart and Final Extra store opening in Sylmar,......but there opening one in Granada Hills where Albertsons use to be,>>>Oh Yeah, nice white (and Asian) protestant neighborhood with upper middle class citz.

Food for Less is not a real grocery store, the Vons in this neighborhood is HORRID with tiny, tiny aisles and horrible selection and pricing. Fresh n Easy OK for some things, but too will find myself having to drive miles to another Ralphs.

Perfect Pairing Promotion

Went to the store 17840 Ventura Blvd. Encino, Ca 91316 on December 6, 2013 I asked cashiers about Perfect pairing Promotion if is still on, they said they do not know anything about I was told to talk to the store manager Marisol C and I did she said it is over by now, in front of her I called my friend she checked the internet and said it is from 11/16/13 to 01/07/14 I told her that she said she did not know anything about it. I already purchased grocery for $42.00 put in my trunk of my car she asked me to bring back to the store she will fix it, I picked up 6 bottles of BV wines went back to her while she was fixing at the cash register she was very upset, arguing,never said sorry.This Ralphs Fresh Fare is just 5 minutes away from my house, this is not the first time the employees did not know about any promotions. I am very unhappy, it took me one hour to wait for Mariscol C to fix it. I will go shopping at Vons. I am very disappointed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE???

After getting turned down for a free email offer (card loaded via email but did not take) at the Ralphs located on Le Conte Ave store at UCLA, LA, CA-called customer service. “Dead From The Neck Up” describes the mentality level of the two Ralphs customer service reps I spoke with trying to resolve a “Betty Crocker Free Offer” via email. 888-437-**** Customer Service??? Rep #1 – 11/18/13 – 10:31 AM –?Moron #1 Stated – The reason you were not given a free Betty Crocker Muffin Mix because we show two persons registered in the same house. Makes sense even if the 2nd person (a paraplegic) did not receive any product. When asked if she was certified she asked “yes I am a certified customer rep.”?I asked – does that give you moron status? “Yes – I am fully certified.” Rep #2 – 11/18/2013 –?Moron #2 Stated – “Am sorry but cannot find your account on my computer.?Try calling back later today.” I asked her – “Did you take the *** Truck to work today?” She answered – “No, I do not drive.” Ignorance and Stupidity is – STILL LEGAL! So much for customer service

Misleading price signs

Went to Ralph's in Glendale. Wanted to get some apples. The five prominent signs for the types of apples were 99cents around. Got four Fuji apples, but was charged $1.99 a pound I was told there was a little sign in the back of the bin that it was $1.99. I looked, but this sign was so small and hidden that no one could have known that price. Ralph's should made this sign at the front of the bin, same size as the others so they are not misled. Make sure you check your receipts every time you shop there coz you may be paying more than you want to.

I can't stand Ralph's yellow "sales" tabs under the product on the shelves that make people think they're getting a sale. When they look at their sales receipt , they find the normal price.

This has happened to several people I know. I have called and told Ralph's to print larger on those so people can read them, they're supposed to buy 5 items to get the sale, or buy 6 bottles of beer or whatever, before they get the sale. :x Who would know unless everyone carries a magnifying glass with them to go shopping.

Ralph's knows this but doesn't care. :x

I volunteer at a youth center in Los Angeles.(Need I say more? They have nothing. Nothing.)

I tried to buy Boo-Berry cereal that was marked down. I take 3 buses to the youth center.(It's LA, need I say more?)

Ana-Manager, was horrible. I needed 1 large box for 40 cereal boxes. Ana just stared at me? She just stared? I said,

"I will wait here all night until someone helps me." 4 times I had to say this.

Ana handed me 2 small boxes. "How can you get 40 cereal boxes in those???" She just stared?

She then handed the 2 small boxes to Elizabeth, who called me HUN more than 20 times. (Can you call female customers HUN? HONEY? SWEETIE? TOOTS?)

Elizabeth looked 30. I don't appreciate being called HUN from her. This is not a 70 y/o woman. They refused to give me a large paper towel box. They first said there is no large box. then I said, "What about that one?" Ana closed the doors and said, "Oh you can't see those boxes." I had to leave with no cereal for the kids. I went back the next day.

30 boxes were sold. Adrian-Manager, was NO help. I waited 90 minutes to speak to Rosie-Store Manager, because Adrian was too lazy or, too *** to leave a note.

(I was waiting tin the cafe) Rosie takes 90 minute lunch breaks. Adrian just walked out!!! Her break was way too important than a customer.

Rosie said, "Oh, Ana already told me everything, you don't have to explain." I said, "really??? You don't want to here a customer's complaint?"

Rosie said, "It's not necessary." I again said, "Really??? Well then you tell me what she said." Rosie said, "No." We repeated this 5 times. When I got the cereal to the check out, I asked Ana if she could find the boxes in the computer? Of course with much sarcasm, "Why? Why come you need to know that?" I said, "If there is no record they might be in the store somewhere." Ana again said, "Why? Why? Why? There be no records in computer." I asked Rosie. She said it could be found in the computer. I found these female managers all incompetent. They don't know costumer service and never will. But this is Los Angeles, companies promote these types of people. HORRIBLE. Ralph's you did a disgrace to the little kids. You need a story in the LA Times Newspaper.

Bought Pepsi for the 4th of July party

I am not sure where I bought it we had been to several stores but I think it was Ralph's It was manufactured September 27 2010. As close and I can make out the lot number was 10048 or the 48 was PH to hard to tell and the rest of the numbers were 106****. But the problem was that each can as we went through the case had no flavor only Soda Water. I was very disappointed for one thing although everyone knew it was not my fault. Then not having Pepsi which is mostly what I drink. Most of us don't drink alcohol. That is my story.

Lieing management

Ralphs - Ref# 1387****, 1356**** @ 310-884-**** - Lies: I am homeless and have been for over 1 year. I sometimes look a bit scruffy but I take baths and change my clothes daily. I eat at Ralph's every day. I think this might have something to do with what may be causing the manager (Jessie’s) attitude. I don't get this from David, Donna or Mellissa and I did not get it from Terry when she was here before she was transferred. They all treat me with kindness and respect; you may ask them on my behalf. Two weeks before I was 86’ed from Ralph’s I was accosted by Steve Witt, the store director who threw me and my dog out saying “Service dogs are not allowed; only Seeing Eye dogs are”. The next day I had my instructor send me a copy of the law and he did. It said service dogs are allowed as they have been for years now. One night, about three months ago, I went to the Ralphs store#108 as I have for the past year and was accosted by a clerk that was sent by Jessie Rivas to throw my dog out again. When I refused Jessie sent the building security guard who wisely asked me to leave but, after seeing my dog's Service ID tag, left. Next came Jessie Rivas, himself, closing the reading area saying it was closed for sanitizing (A first in a year at that time of night). Then I went to the other Wi-Fi area and two police officers came and asked to see my dog’s service tag and when they saw it thanked me for showing them. They started to leave and came back and said the manager wanted me out because of “too many complaints”. I’ll bet if you ask him to produce these “too many complaints”, he can’t. I left. I went back the next night and asked the manager (Mellissa) why I was kicked out the night before and she said because of the dog. She asked to see my dog's service tag and I showed her. The lies: 1. Steve Witt lied to me saying that only seeing-eye dogs are allowed in to Ralph’s. 2. Jessie Rivas lied to the police saying that I have too many complaints. I have asked other managers there and they have told me that I haven’t 3. Maria Hernandez has lied about me and to me since I started coming into Ralph’s. She has told many employees that I am not handicapped. My disabled placard number is 530944 M so you can check to see if I am. Dr. Aaron M. Lehman, MD is my doctor at Kaiser in Rancho Bernardo. You can check with him and find I have 23 ailments like Anemia, Acid Reflux disease, Arthritis in my hands, Heart disease, Heart Murmur to be operated on soon, Diabetes – (need Insulin), Thyroid disease, Kidney disease – Stage 3, High Blood Pressure, Morbid Obesity, High Cholesterol, Broken Back Mar, 19, 1979, Degraded vertebrates T12 T5 & L5, Gout, Hemorrhoids, Neuropathy of my feet and more. She is still saying that my dog did #1 & #2 and threw-up in the store and I did nothing about it. She is also saying she has a tape of the dog doing these things. If you can provide this tape I will drop everything now. Don’t bother looking, this is a lie too. 4. Your customer service lady named Marge called and said a. the cops kicked me out, b. I used the carts that are supposed to be for customers and I am not supposed to c. The dog was eating and drinking in an area that is designated no eating d. the dog defecated in the store and I did not clean it up e. she said she did a thorough investigation. I spend about 5 hours there a night there and try to apply for jobs and reply to my emails. It is a place out of the cold to catch up on the news, find out the next day's weather and look for a job. I don't know of another place. I don't cause trouble and I’ve been told my dog is the most well behaved dog they have seen by many. He does not even bark. He lies at my feet for the entire 5 hours. No one has complained about his behavior. I have given you a list of names and mangers to check. I have given you a location where any evening there are a dozen witnesses. Judging from the amount of people that have been asked what happened; you are not going to do anything about this. I have one more report to send you in a few days as I promised. This is all about a management team that would rather save a clerks job who has not been able to rise above clerk in 12 years than do what is right. This is also all about a management team that would freely lie than do the honest thing. They got tired of hearing Maria complaining about me and me writing to you. IF you are homeless how can you afford to eat out? You should be going to a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter that feeds homeless/low income people.

Also if you are homeless where do you bath and change clothes? Also in their wifi area do they furnish the computers or do you bring your own?

Also, millions of Americans are homeless and they work for minimum wage. Many of them get food stamps too.

Kick me out by lying instead of fixing the problem

Reference: 1356**** – Time is up: It has been 60 days now and nothing has happened. I will now do as I promised. This report will be submitted in three parts. We will start at the beginning of the problem Maria Hernandez. I wrote to you on six occasions about this loose cannon called Maria Hernandez. She is a clerk who thinks she is a manger but she doesn’t have a clue about how to talk to someone. She has lied about me and others and now that I am gone from Ralph’s she is still talking and lying about me and has set you and herself up for a defamation law suit. She is saying that the reason no one is allowed to eat in the reading room (the one with the TV’s) is because I fed my dog there and my dog pooped, peed, threw-up and I wouldn’t/didn’t clean it up. One of my friends got so tired of hearing these lies and stood up for me and she said she has video of my dog doing this in the store. She has said these things, and more, many times. I have at least a dozen witnesses and 6 who have told me they will testify it in court. A year ago, when I started going to Ralph’s I would use the handicapped cart and she told all the employees that I wasn’t handicapped. Several of the employees asked me about it and told me what she was saying. I did nothing then. After several problems I had with her I started writing letters to you. They seem to work after about six of them because she wouldn’t hassle me anymore. Much to my dismay the management devised a plan to get rid of me instead of her to stop me from complaining about her. This message will be in my next report. I have decided to call it the web of lies staring Maria Hernandez, Jessie Rivas, Marge in customer service and Steve Whitt. I say this because the way they got rid of me was a set of lies, one right after another and I have witnesses of all of them. It seems to be quite OK to lie at Ralph’s because so many of their employees and managers do it so freely. Since this whole fiasco started I have given names of people and places to go to ask to verify the truth and not once has anyone done so. I even had someone from customer service tell me they investigated this thoroughly and proceed to tell me what one manager said happened who was never there and was never involved at all. Manager verbal assault

I was at the final check-out when the Store Manager "Cliff Black"

Told me I could not have my dog in the Store ..and to leave..even though other shoppers had dogs, some in. Carts!..I informed him that it was OK because she was a SERVICE DOG.and I'm LEGALLY BLIND.....

He Mocked and Laughed at me and Cruelly replied..

"What does he do..press the Numbest for You!"

I angrily said "How dare you embarrass and humiliate me"

He went on badgering me mercilessly...I

He questioned .e over and over..Tools him its a Federal Law and I am allowed to have my dog..HE TOLD ME TO GET OUT!

he then followed me down the exit aisle / out the door/ into the parking lot..Stalking Me!...I'm planning on file g a Civil Liberties complaint..against him and Ralph's Grocery..it ANYONE HAS A SIMILAR STORY PLEASE CONTACT ME @ mnb92262@***.com

Bad Assistant Manager

I was Shopping in the Store on 02/25/13 at 8pm. was looking for the bread, walk by another Shopper who started calling me names and saying crazy bizzar comments about this is there community I dont belong here and used profanity, Another customer over heard as well. I was shocked to say the least coming from that individual. Si I went to the Manager on duty at that time told him what happend even walked him to the witness which he said he heard the comments made. so we walked to the individual that looked like he was from the near buy Half Way Houses ... and first words from the guys mouth was ( You told on me ) ? I told the Manager who I think his name was Joe that he needs to call the Police that I was treatend in his Store. So Joe did nothing about it. Poor Manager Skills.. That Guy was obiously disturbed and Dengerous to other Customers. I am sure if you Look at the survilance Tapes for that time and Date you will see that the Guy was acting very strange in the store. This could have esscalited into something serious.

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe this person had some type of mental problem, or even Tourette's Syndrom? There are people that because of some type of illness, say things that they don't even know they are saying.

You really have to be more tolerant of different people.

More than likely he was completely harmless. Actually with some of your spelling, grammar, and punctuation, you don't sound completely normal either.

Maria at Ralphs Store 108 is still stalking me

About a week ago I complained about a checker who tried to throw me out. Now she is checking on me and after I leave I am told she comes in and checks where is sit and takes pictures.

Please do something about her. She started by telling everyone that I am not handicapped, while California thinks I am, and gave me a placard saying so. About 8 months ago she told me to take my dog out of the store, which I did, now the store manager is doing that even though I had him trained as a diabetes service dog. Maybe she is influencing him to throw my dog out and lie about the law saying there is a law that says “only seeing dogs are allowed in the store”.

My phone is 619-857-****. I have witnesses for both of these events.
